We Custom Build, restore, repair, and teach just for starters.
So you want to be a drummer? Taw's Pro Drum shop makes the following commitment to you!
Educating a drummer is not a simple feat -- it is a learning process that requires tenacity, discipline and perseverance!
It is a challenge of dedication and practice!
It is a character builder and it's fun!
If this is not your intention STOP HERE and find another music store.
WE are serious about drums, education and respect!
We have found this a winning combination. Our students are taught, rudiments -- time -- co ordination -- to read music -- independence -- proper sticking -- drum kit and are exposed to many methods, techniques and forms of music.
We enhance student education with clinics and performances (free of charge) to further their education on many subjects that accelerate their personal abilities.
We do not build superstars, we teach drummers to be drummers!
Our lessons are not for everyone. A student must be serious minded about drums and have a desire to learn. We believe you must learn to play 1 drum before you can play 5!
Taws Pro Drum Shop does not encourage an immediate purchase of a drum kit but a practice pad, book and sticks. The teachers will give input as to when a student is ready for a kit. Then you decide if the interest is there and if you wish to make the investment.
We will not waste your money! If the student is not learning or not practicing we will tell you that immediately! We are here to educate drummers for a fair rate and we do our job well.
Although many drummers teach drums, few have the credentials to teach correctly. Some teachers cannot read music, but teach by memorization. Others allow the student control of the studio and what they will or will not learn.
At Taw's Pro Drum Shop our teachers control the studio and teach them sound drumming practice. We encourage parents to observe the lessons (we have a glass door on the studio) and "sit in" if they would like too.
We also have a scholarship fund for students. The applications are distributed in October and the awards are made at the Christmas Party each year.
We have an introductory offer of 5 lessons for $74.00. If you choose to continue the cost is $20.00 a lesson paid monthly!
Stop by and pick up a copy of “So your child wants to be a drummer?" and visit our practice room.
